SEASONAL CLERKSHIPS
Our seasonal clerkship program gives you an insight into what life as a lawyer is really all about.
You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a busy and dynamic legal team doing real legal work, and the rotational nature of our program allows you to move through various partner teams, giving you the opportunity to gain exposure in different areas of law.
As part of our seasonal clerkship program you will be paired with a Partner who will act as your mentor and a Senior Associate or Solicitor who will act as your buddy. These relationships will ensure you have someone available to provide guidance, answer your questions, and give you real 1:1 time.
Our program aims to provide you with practical legal experience and during your clerkship you may have the opportunity to attend Court hearings, undertake research tasks, observe client meetings and conferences, and present at one of our in house seminars.
As a member of our team, you will also be invited to participate in the Firm’s social events and in our in house Continuing Professional Development program.
Our program is designed for law students in their penultimate year of study.
Brisbane
The 2012 winter clerkship program is 5 weeks in duration and runs across the June/July university break from 25 June 2012 to 27 July 2012.
The program involves rotations through our corporate and commercial, health and litigation divisions.
At the conclusion of your clerkship, we may offer you an opportunity for further employment.

The 2012/2013 program is nine weeks in duration and runs from 3 December 2012 to 15 February 2013 (Please note there is a two week break over Christmas from 24 December 2012 to 4 January 2013).
The program involves 3 rotations through our corporate and commercial, health and litigation divisions.
At the conclusion of your clerkship, we may offer you an opportunity for further employment.

Our 2012 program runs for four weeks from 26 November 2012 to 21 December 2012. Our program will allow you to rotate through our corporate and commercial, health and litigation divisions.
On completion of your clerkship you may be eligible to apply for a priority offer under the LIV Traineeship Guidelines.
