Alistair Little advises clients on a wide range of legal issues. Alistair has extensive experience in litigation, in particular involving general corporate and commercial disputes, insurance, building and construction, intellectual property, defamation and trade practices litigation. Alistair has expertise in all aspects of commercial proceedings in the Federal, New South Wales Supreme and New South Wales District Courts.
His broad client base has involved Alistair in all areas of professional indemnity insurance, product liability insurance, credit insurance and directors and officers liability insurance; as well as enabling him to utilise his expertise in construction industry litigation (including advice on variation claims and extension of time claims and issues arising from the operation of retirement villages); copyright, trade mark, patent and passing-off litigation; defamation litigation; and litigation regarding claimed breaches of Parts IV and V of the Trade Practices Act.
Alistair is highly regarded for his work in drafting all forms of construction contracts, drafting and advising on intellectual property merchandising and licensing arrangements, preparing trade practices compliance programs, carrying out due diligence on and audits of trade practices compliance programs and advising on trade practices and competition law issues generally.
Alistair Little was selected for inclusion in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2006/2007) and (2007/2008) for Competition and Trade, (2008/2009 and 2009/2010) for Dispute Resolution and in the Asian In-House Handbook (2008/2009) for Litigation and Dispute Resolution.
In October 2009, Alistair was elected to the Board of Directors of ALFA International, the global legal network, which has over 130 member firms around the world.
