Expertise
Louise joined the firm in 2009 as part of the Corporate and Commercial health practice group. Louise has a background in commercial and insurance litigation including workplace relations, insurance fraud, medical negligence, personal injury and building and construction.
Louise specialises in the provision of advice and assistance to individuals and organisations in the health industry in a number of areas including industrial relations, contractual disputes, anti-discrimination and privacy. Louise regularly advises doctors in disciplinary matters including responding to complaints and assisting in disciplinary proceedings before Performance Standard Committees and the NSW Medical Tribunal. Louise has also assisted health care professionals in resolving disputes with training providers, colleges and professional associations.
Louise also specialises in medical negligence litigation, advising and assisting doctors in complex District and Supreme Court claims. Louise attends mediations, assisting in negotiating favourable outcomes for client, and has instructed in matters at hearing that have been successfully defended.
