Peter Thompson has extensive experience in commercial and corporate law, specialising in the entertainment and media industries, particularly in the areas of intellectual property, music, film and television. Peter established the firm’s Entertainment & Media Division. Peter represents a wide range of individual and corporate clients in the film, television, music and new media industries. These include Australian and international film and television producers and sports personalities, production houses, financiers and underwriters, subscription television channels and distributors, broadcasters, merchandisers, established and developing artists and major record and publishing companies.
Peter frequently advises on international deals and structures, commercial conduct and the protection and exploitation of various rights and commercial opportunities in the media, arts and entertainment industries.
