Keely joined TressCox in July 2012 as a Solicitor and was appointed to Senior Associate in July 2017. She currently works alongside Peta Tumpey in the Employment, IR and Workplace Safety Group. Prior to commencing at TressCox, Keely was a senior lawyer at the Federal Department of Human Services working in both the Employment Law team and the Litigation team.
Keely’s experience encompasses all aspects of employment and workplace relations, policy development and organisational issues including drafting and advising on employment contracts and workplace policies, employee entitlements, statutory obligations, discrimination issues, unfair dismissals and independent contractor agreements. Keely also regularly presents seminars on relevant employment topics, such as dealing with bullying in the workplace, dealing with underperforming or ill and injured employees as well as mitigating risks in ending the employment relationship. Keely also conducts in-house training for clients.
Keely represents clients in a number of jurisdictions including: the NSW Industrial Relations Commission, the Fair Work Commission, the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Australian Human Rights Commission, various State and Federal Courts as well as representing clients during investigations by the Fair Work Ombudsman.
