Megan advises health care professionals in disciplinary matters including responding to complaints and assisting during disciplinary proceedings. She also assists many health care professionals who are involved in the Health and/or Performance Programs of the relevant Council. Her expertise covers section 150 Inquires, Impaired Registrants Panels, disciplinary investigations, prosecutions and dispute resolution. Megan also assists practitioners with hospital investigations, coronial matters as well as criminal investigations and prosecutions. Additionally, Megan advises doctors in relation to Medicare audits and reviews along with assisting before Professional Services Review Committee hearings.
Megan previously worked for the Health Care Complaints Commission investigating complaints and prosecuting matters before disciplinary bodies including Professional Standards Committees and Tribunals. Megan has also worked for the Medical Council of NSW assisting and advising disciplinary Committees and Inquiries. Additionally, she has worked at the Law Society of NSW investigating complaints against legal practitioners. Since joining the Firm, Megan represents solicitors in disciplinary matters including responding to complaints made to the Law Society of NSW or the Office of the Legal Services Commissioner.
Megan’s many years of experience as a registered nurse, working primarily in intensive care, allows her to provide clients with a distinct understanding of the health sector.
