Ron Heinrich AM has over 40 years experience in Corporate and Commercial Law. He is highly regarded for his expertise in assisting clients on issues requiring his broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporations law, trade practices law, administrative law (including disciplinary Tribunals, Royal Commissions and ICAC Inquiries), revenue law (he is recognised as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) by the Tax Institute) and insurance law.
Ron advises on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and probity, commercial litigation, defence of professional indemnity insurance claims, the drafting of insurance policy wordings, reinsurance agreements, developing due diligence systems for compliance purposes and trusts, business succession and estate planning.

Ron Heinrich AM was selected for inclusion in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2011/12 & 2012/13) for Corporate/M&A and was selected for inclusion in the 2014/15, 2016, 2017 & 2018 editions of Best Lawyers® Australia for Commercial and the 2017 & 2018 editions for Corporate.
Ron has contributed extensively to the legal profession, both in Australia and internationally. He is a former President of both the Law Society of New South Wales and the Law Council of Australia and a former President of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. He is also a former Director and Chairman of LawCover Pty Limited.
He is a former Chairman of the Law Society’s Professional Conduct Committee and has been involved in the investigation and prosecution of solicitors guilty of professional misconduct, fraud and corruption. He is also a former Chairman of the Law Society’s Medico-Legal Liaison and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committees.
Ron was formerly Chairman of the Law Council’s National Harmonization Committee, Professional Indemnity Insurance Working Group and its ad hoc Committee on the review of the Insurance Contracts Act.

On Australia Day, January 26 2013, Ron was appointed as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM), a wonderful recognition to Ron for his sustained efforts over many years on behalf of the Australian Legal Profession.
